Poggio Amorelli > Tuscany > Italy
Owned by Adriana and Marco Mazzarrini, this new state of the art winery is located in one of the most enchanting places in the Chianti area, a little over a mile from the old village Castellina.

Marco Mazzarrini, a native of Florence, studied general agriculture in Genoa. Following school, he began consulting as an oenologist in 1995 and works now for as many as twelve wineries. In 1997, he began Poggio Amorelli and, as a young entrepreneur, got some help from the EU. He planted 90% of the vineyards himself, the remaining was already planted. In the year 2000, he began producing wine in the Maremma in Morellino di Scansano under the Poggio Borbone label.
