Bodega Santo Tomas > Baja California > Mexico
Founded in 1888 by Francisco Adonegui and Miguel Olmart, Bodegas de Santo Tomas was the very first winery to be established in Baja California. It is located just 44 miles south of Ensenada. Throughout the decades, it has consistently produced high quality wines, continuously modernizing its production equipment. Winemaker Hugo D'Acosta joined the team in 1988 and worked there until 2000. During his tenure, he focused on Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Barbera, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Tempranillo blends. The winery currently owns 350 hectares and all wines are made from estate fruit.
